Pots

I have two beautiful glazed teal pots that sit on very specific points around the pool decking. Each year I bring them out at the first sign of spring.

Every year they become the vessel for the living plants that will grace my summer.  The plants are different, based on the availability at the box store and the rain and sun, the environment.

Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t create the foliage from the year before.  These pots have had many incarnations.

I am of an age where I recognize how much I have in common with my lovely pots.

I have lived many lives and worn many labels.  All “plants” that have etched their impression. All influenced by the sun and the rain.  All have left their mark.

Instead of thinking in terms of one great journey, maybe life should be considered as lots of smaller journeys.  Like pieces of a puzzle that color and create the finished product.

Each day, each season, each incarnation, a new beginning and a new adventure.

Much love!
