Don’t Be afraid

Empaths are people who can understand another person’s feelings because they have the ability to put themselves in another’s shoes.

They feel emotions deeply and often have a hard time with an onslaught of negativity.

They are attuned to subtle cues (eye movements, body movements, changes in tone, etc.) in short… non-verbal communication.

To a person who is an empath, these non verbal cues are more important than what is actually being said because these communications are spontaneous.

For example: Listening to a man talk to a captive audience about how self serving and egotistical he was in his early years and implying that he has changed, while simultaneously talking about himself more than 70 percent of the time (including pictures of himself as visual aides) doesn’t weigh on the scales as true change.

Empath’s have a hard time with disingenuous people and situations.  They cannot stand the chaos that comes from the attempted manipulation through lies and half truths.

This season is one of the most contentious seasons I have experienced in my life time.  And it doesn’t seem to have an expiration date.

Add to that the wildfires, floods, and other natural disasters occurring in our own backyards.

If you are struggling during this difficult time,  you are not alone.  I have struggled.

Don’t be afraid to turn off the news, tune out the chaos,  and focus inward.

Don’t be afraid to listen with your whole spirit and fact check things that just don’t measure up.

Don’t be afraid to come to your own conclusions.  Don’t be afraid to allow others to come to their conclusions.

Don’t be afraid to draw boundaries around yourself required for your survival.

Don’t be afraid to emotionally hit the mute button.  You are in control of your emotions.  Don’t give control to someone else.

Most of all,  don’t be afraid.  We will get through this season.  All will be well.

Much love, peace, and light,
